Dear Diary,
As I grow older things that use to be simple is becoming more complex. My simple mind can no longer hold anymore so I promise myself that I would write a diary to record events that are happening. More importantly I want to re-read some of my blogs and get to know myself better. Like they say in a the book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, the three treasures of Japan are as follow: army, gold, and a mirror. Almost everyone can understand army and gold but the most important item is a mirror. The objective of the mirror is for the person to self-evaluate one self on a frequent basis to make adjustments or improvements as the environment changes. With successful changes then the army and gold can be retained or grow. The second thing that I would like to do with my blog is to include some pictures that reflect on what I remember. Like they say a picture represents a thousand words =P. I remember I had a discussion with Congee Girl in regards writing a diary in a notebook but the issue I had with it is the lack of clipping pictures and videos as naturally compared to a blog. So one thing I'll like to do is sometimes take pictures with my cell phone camera and attach some of the pictures onto my blog. Maybe the next time I re-read my blog I'll get another perspective that I miss when I took the picture.
Anyhow today was pretty ordinary. I got to work on my thesis and most of the documentation and coding is now done as I wait for the final runs. I am glad I caught the mistakes that I've made. Now it is much easier for me to write and some of the trends I've found so far from the results are pretty good. I really can't ask for more for a thesis and with these results I am hoping that I can publish a paper. I really appreciate the support and supervision that I have received from my supervisor. I guess if not due to all the issues at Toronto I may really consider doing a PhD at Kingston. However, I do not regret that I am going to Centennial. Not too long I just check the time table and the courses. In general they are pretty organized and I am quite nervous about my courses. However, I am also pretty excited to get started.
I also did a bit of unpacking after the move from Kingston to Toronto and there is really a lot of stuff. It isn't too bad and I am almost done which I am really glad. I encounter some stuff that belong to my grandma and it is pretty sad that she passed away. I guess I took for granted that when I visit her she is always healthy and the next thing you know she is extremely ill at the hospital. However, I am going to dedicate my thesis to my grandmother and forever she will be remembered. I can say without a doubt that without her support I wouldn't be where I am today. She has taught me a lot of things outside where the school doesn't teach.
That pretty much sums up my day. I notice my blog is pretty messy and the ideas are pointing in various directions. I guess that is why my English high school teacher emphasized so much on writing an outline. Aside from that I guess reading more will also be helpful as I can learn aside from the content is to understand the way people structure their thoughts. I always find that difficult but hopefully with good practice I will reach my goals in the near future. Anyhow that's enough for one day =).
Take care,
Potato Boy
Hmm... so if this is entry 1, then what were the other 2?
